I made a resolution to actually post to my blog this year. So far it's gone about as well as most of my new year resolutions! But for a good reason - I've been super busy with the Tails of the World book project. It's a coffee table book showcasing the art of 30 pet photographers from around the world. Each photographer photographed up to 10 dogs for their section of the book, with 100% of the session fees going to a rescue of their choice. The proceeds from the sales of the book will be donated to Second Chance Animal Rescue in Australia. 

I partnered with Home at Last Dog Rescue, where I adopted my sweet baby, Oreo. The rescue did one social media post to advertise the project and I received nearly 70 applications. It was super difficult to narrow it down to ten.

Once the ten were selected, I worked with each pet parent to choose the perfect spot for their dog's session. I wanted to showcase special locations around the Philadelphia area.

The folks at Philadelphia's Magic Gardens generously allowed us to have the space to ourselves for 3 hours! It was amazing!

We did four sessions at Wissahickon Valley Park. Despite living in the area my entire life, I had never visited this stunning place. Each dog's session was in a different area of the park, so it provided variation to the photos.

Two sessions were at Lockridge Furnace Park in Alburtis, PA, during peak of the blue bells. It was spectacular!

One dog lives in Gettysburg, so we made a family trip of it and spent a night at The Farnsworth House Inn. 

One dog was in Baltimore, so a day trip to the Inner Harbor was in order. Over the next few weeks I'll post some of the images from the session.

I had a wonderful time meeting these amazing dogs and their awesome humans and learning how each changed the other's lives for the better.

The book will be out in early 2023. I can't wait!
