The Devon Fall Classic

Visitors once again flocked to the Devon Fall Classic at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair grounds in Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was five glorious days of competition, food, fun, and fair. This family and dog-friendly event offered entertainment, rides, games, and fun for all.

As a first time vendor, I enjoyed connecting with people and their dogs. It's wonderful to experience a truly dog-friendly venue. My trusty assistant and canine sidekick, Oreo, attended two of the five days with me, enjoying the attention and love from passersby.

We met other people from other fabulous pet businesses including Piggyback Treats Company, an innovative company that marries healthy treats with sustainability. They use "rescued food items" (fresh, quality ingredients that would otherwise go to waste) to produce treats that are sure to make your dog beg for more. Oreo personally sampled quite a few of their products. She enjoyed visiting Jen and Chris and making pleasant conversation while waiting patiently waiting for a taste of the yummy goodness that lined the walls of the shop.

Next stop was Bully Bows - which features an adorable collection of bow ties, leashes, harnesses, and collars. This company is run by a man that was inspired to give back to the rescue community by his own sweet rescue pup. Bully Bows not only makes your pet look good, but it will make you feel good, knowing that your purchase provides much-needed funds to animal rescues.

And at the end of "pet row" we met the lovely husband and wife team behind SnugPups, the cutest dog coats I've ever seen! The handmade garments come in all different sizes. And if you have a Clifford wanna-be like my Moby, you can order a custom - sized garment. The coats come in whimsical, colorful patterns. And the rain coats are a must-have, especially for long haired dogs that take forever to dry when they come in from the rain.

I will be providing a more in-depth profile of each of these fantastic companies in the coming months, so stay tuned! Meanwhile, click on the links above to get a jump on your holiday shopping!
